* To find your MAC address in MacOS X: From the dock, choose System Preferences. Click Network and then select Ethernet. Set 'Show:' to 'Built-in Ethernet' . Look where it says 'Ethernet ID' (another way to say MAC address). Or from the Terminal: Type "networksetup -listallhardwareports" in a Terminal window. The "Ethernet Address" field for the ethernet hardware port is your MAC address. Discovering your MAC address from a Windows PC: start button > run > cmd (for a command prompt) > getmac (or you may have to use ipconfig /all) The Physical Address value for your ethernet card is your MAC address. Ensure you're looking at your ethernet interface, not your wireless one. Linux: Open a terminal and use the ifconfig command. The MAC address will be listed next to HWaddr.

Generally, the wireless device names will be wlan0, wlan1, wlan2, wlo0, wlo1, and wlo2, whereas the Ethernet (wired device) will probably have eth0, eth1, eno0, eno1,enpls0, or enpls1.
