The Centre for the Neural Basis of Hearing was a joint venture between the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, the U.K. Medical Research Council, and the Psychology Department of the University of Essex, in collaboration with the Wellcome Department of Cognitive Neurology, University College, London.

The principals were

The location of the CNBH at Essex University was the Psychology Department, Wivenhoe Park, Colchester.
