Léa Wenger received the prize for best research project
The John Ray Trust commemorates the life and achievements of John Ray, distinguished British natural historian, and his association with the Essex town of Braintree.
The prize of £250 is for the best research project undertaken by an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge in a field that John Ray would have been interested in.
Léa Wenger, who graduated in June and was supervised by Matt Mason and whose project was titled "Nasal Turbinate Scaling in Mammals" will also travel to Braintree to give a lecture which will inspire 6th formers there.
