Dr Paul Schofield awarded Alan Turing Fellowship

Schofield's work in machine learning has been recognized by the national institute for data science and artificial intelligence

PDN's Paul Schofield has been awarded a fellowship of the Alan Turing Institute. The research he is conducting at the Turing involves extraction of patients' genome sequence and clinical data from electronic health records, and its integration with the huge volume of human genotype/phenotype information and data from fundamental experimental sciences. Using machine learning over these very large datasets will provide insights into the genetic origins and mechanisms of common and complex disease.
