There are many sources of help and advice, both within and beyond the University. Three University Organisations in particular maintain helpful lists of sources of help:

Important University web resources include, in alphabetical order:
- Childcare Office – for advice on childcare, playschemes and financial support
- Disability Resource Centre – more focused on students, but a good source of advice; for example, they produce access guides and maps
- Equality and Diversity Section - promotes diversity by providing advice and support and organising public events
- Human Resources – the overarching University HR page, with a wealth of guidance and information
- Occupational Health Service – provides support to staff, focusing on the promotion of health and wellbeing and prevention of ill health at work
- Office of Postdoctoral Affairs – provides an academic, administrative and pastoral focus for the postdoc community
- OurCambridge - a University programme to recognise and realise the potential of all professional services staff
