Research Interests

Using advanced genetics, specialised animal models, behavioural assays and two-photon brain activity imaging I aim to understand the neural basis for colour discrimination in flies and the neural computation that lead to this perception.

I am interested in sensory neuroscience and genetics. I currently aim to understand the neural basis for colour discrimination in flies, how the visual system performs such a function and what purpose wavelength discrimination serves in the ecology of the animal.
