Cellular and Systems Physiology
Calcium homeostasis in normal and malaria-infected human red
blood cells, with particular focus on the functional properties
of the plasma membrane Ca2+ pump and of the Ca2+- sensitive K+
channel. Study of the processes affecting volume changes of human
red blood cells infected with Plasmodium falciparum and of those
affecting merozoite invasion.
