Phototransduction in Drosophila. TRP channels. Phospholipase C, calcium and lipid signalling. Techniques include molecular genetics, electrophysiology (patch clamp), imaging and modelling. Other interests include retinal degeneration and ligand-gated ion channels at the photoreceptor synapse.
