The Centre for the Neural Basis of Hearing is a joint venture between the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, the U.K. Medical Research Council, and the Psychology Department of the University of Essex, in collaboration with the Wellcome Department of Cognitive Neurology, University College, London.

Much of our research is done in collaboration with hearing scientists at other institutions in the U.K. and around the world. They are listed with contact information in collaborators and/or previous members.
There are also two other auditory research centres in Cambridge, the Auditory Perception Group in the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Cambridge and the Hearing Group at MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit.
