The Department can only consider enquiries from the East Anglian region of the UK.
The study of Anatomy is one of the first, most basic and yet one of the most important subjects studied by medical students when they begin their medical career. Its importance cannot be over-estimated because it helps to lay the foundations for all future learning. It will be seen therefore that the decision of an individual to donate his/her body for anatomical examination is a vital contribution towards the understanding and advancement of medical science. Should you wish to donate your body to medical science or obtain further information, please contact Lynn Haythorpe leh42@cam.ac.uk 01223 333 776
The Anatomy Building is normally open Monday to Friday 08.30 -17.00. Outside these hours a telephone answering machine is in operation which gives clear instructions of the action to be taken in the event of a bequeathal.
Individuals wishing to donate their body who haven't returned a consent form to the department before 1st September 2006 should note that consent now requires a witnessed signature.
